Oracle Card #1 ~ Creativity
I love the water and mermaid theme of this week's reading. Mermaids represent letting your heart and passions override your analytical mind, and the under-the- surface fears that might be informing your decisions. However being creative and following your creative desires returns you to love. AND your creativity is calling. How can I attend to what is important to me and what I love, and attend to those who are important to me? We get so fixed into a daily pattern and creativity can get lost. The magic of this great gift of "life" will elude us if we always think our way through.
April's Grand Cross was a transformation. Look back on April. How was it for you? Many people had illnesses, crisis and dark nights of the soul. I came out of April wanting to wear gold, a life-long silver wearing moon-loving goddess. Reflect on how you might be seeing the world differently and how the message to let go and step back keeps popping up. You might be saying to yourself, "I can't handle everything by myself and I don't have to", or "it is what it is" and "I think I can finally do this step at a time". This is about becoming more comfortable with uncertainty, not knowing what will happen and the flip side (like a mermaid's tale) getting about the business of what delights us.
Oracle Card #2 ~Oceana
Connected to the Goddess Aphrodite and Venus, mermaids symbolize love of life, sensuality and feminine power. There is deep power in the water. Our bodies are over 70% water, so when we come in contact with it, a harmony happens. Our bodies and the water are converging energetically. We let go. Getting into the water, salt water or fresh is healing on deep levels. Native Americans call the ocean, Mother Ocean. Sit by the water and feel it's nurturing power and touch. No words need to be spoken. The experience touches spiritually. You can ask it "what do I need to know?" and let the answer present itself, without forcing, like water.

The orange color of this beautiful mermaid represents your creative projects and things coming together because you have been open. It's a sign for the sacral chakra which is orange. It's your creative energy center, sitting about and inch or two below your belly button. Give in to your desires this week. Let yourself be seduced by life's beauty and earthly gifts. Enjoy the holiday weekend! Last week, opportunities were popping up and they continue to do so. Believe in the power of your intention and what you desire. Look back on the times in life when you were hoping something would happen, or you needed something and it came true....and it blew your mind. But if you wouldn't have believed it could happen on some level, and desired it and prayed for it, could it have happened as magically and incredibly as it did? Did it manifest beyond what you could have imagined? In the context of this reading mermaids also symbolize the undercurrents of our emotions and our intuitive nature. When we open to creativity, we are opening intuitively to the great field of possibility, and of the Divine. You are a drop of this ocean. The star on the mermaid's head is her aura, representing aligning with your Divineness, and a symbol to enjoy Independence Day.
Oracle Card #3 ~ Music of the Spheres
Make a list of all the things you want to do this summer. It's flying by. The Moon energy is present here as well, another symbol of our intuition, undercurrents of emotion and creativity. Sit under the moon alone, or with family and friends. There is something really magical about a Summer night under the moon. Just feel it. If you can, make plans to be by the water for the next full moon on July 12th. You might want to do a full moon ceremony with Sister Moon's magic.
Listen to music that you love. Think of a time in your life where you were fully alive. What music were you listening to? What kinds of creative things were you doing? Did you ride a motorcycle or go to the Lake with friends? In this card the "spheres" represents our chakras, the spiritual energy centers of our body. Having fun and listening to music can clear and cleanse your energy, making you feel good all over.
