Geminis are master communicators, charming and intelligent. Gemini embodies the principle of motion. They love to talk and digest information. They know a lot, about a lot of things. They are ruled by Mercury "the messenger god" of roman mythology. They are charming and can turn it on for their benefit. They love to share their lives with friends and prefer a busy social life. They are rejuvenated by groups of people and from inspiring conversation. They must express themselves and are uber-creative.
Most of the Geminis I know are claircognizant, meaning they get intuitive information through ideas that pop into their heads. In love relationships, highly mental Geminis must be challenged and interested by their partners. They connect through their minds. They are super-smart and must have a steady diet of intellectual stimulation or else they'll fall prey to boredom. This boredom and wandering from something juicy and meaningful to hold onto, can wreak havoc on them and others around them. They can be critical like their fellow mercurial astro-mates earthy Virgos, but they are an Air sign. Their words, so valuable to them can be witty and charming love bombs, or deeply cutting daggers. It is hard for them to admit they are wrong.
Gemini comes form the Latin translation of the Greek word "Didymoi" meaning twins. They easily see both sides of a story and can provide excellent information for problem solving but this can cause them to put off making decisions. It may not be the right one, but intellectual reasoning, the key to all things in the double-sided Gemini mind will eventually lead to a solution, or two or more solutions to tackle the issue.
Of course all astrological signs have multi-faceted parts making us all individual and unique, but Geminis can have a hard time not thinking, or not doing.
