It's easy to get into a mindset. We may not realize we might be coasting ourselves into a rut. The groove might be pretty good. Maybe nothing crazy has happened as of late, and the comfort of routine has smoothed out the edges. This is a great place to be until we read a book or see a movie that stirs up trouble somewhere deep. A character we've grown attached to moves into a new town beginning a brand new life. He or she finds love in friendly small town and everything seems to just fall into place. The news of an old friend moving to paradise at long last is bittersweet. The story from heartbreak and loss, to love and fulfilled wishes awakens a sleeping dragon of desire. We have felt the tall heights of high hopes and the freshness of starting over. It happens and we know it's possible.
We recognize the feeling of wonder and expectancy when we hold a newborn babe, or get married or watch someone else tie the knot. Degrees and projects completed take us right there to I've arrived. Every step after this is rooted into a new world as we take one foot out of the past and plant both in the future because it feels so rich, beautiful and promising.
Stories, art and music take us there. They take us to the moment of "now". We feel it in our bones. The earthly wonder and magnificence of a mountain's peak renders us silent, reverent and perfectly still inside. A majestic and humbling ocean or red rock canyon at sunset takes us right to the dawning of a new beginning. The beginning starts in us with how we feel about where we are.
We are conjurers of new beginnings. We can do it at will by how we feel. We are powerful beings. You don't have to travel to catch this feeling. Seek the enchantment of fireflies on a Summer night in your neighborhood...your own backyard. You don't have to be in love to feel the sway in your hips or the charm of your smile unleash-able with a tiny tilt of your head.
Magic was implanted at birth on your heart so that you could always dream yourself into a new, rich and beautiful future full of hope. Perhaps we have forgotten in the day's rhythm of steps, lists and routines that we can stand again at dawn's doorstep. We can knock on her door at any moment and she will always invite us in.

June 20th marks the Summer Solstice and a full moon in Sagittarius. Last month's full moon was a Sag moon too. On the new moon in Gemini seeds were planted. What you gave away and released at last month's May 21st Sagittarius moon gathered fire power on the 4th on the Gemini new moon.
I had to use a picture of one of my favorite coffee cups in honor of the possibilities and magic afoot now!! Unicorns represent the infinite possibilities available to us. I'm talking about the ones we cannot see yet that we have been magically manifesting, and the ones we don't believe yet! Unicorns are magical beings that represent our dreams are possible.
Our new moon goddess Nemetona, sat relaxed with purpose surrounded by many candles, each symbolizing a thought or idea. Thoughts become things. You might even feel like there is a huge open space now. You can see where your mind works for good and against your good. The fire power of your thoughts is clear. We are inspired in Sagittarius fire.
This is a freedom filled full moon. There is a feeling of being able to step forward into a new phase. It's time to celebrate and recognize the power of the sun in you, the power of growth, expansion and new beginnings. For some this will be simply the acknowledgement of triumph over something long-wanted. Or being proud of achieving a personal goal of fulfillment. Maybe the renovation is finally done, or the book draft has been sent to the publisher or you reached a financial goal. Perhaps you can look back and see how much you've changed for the better. Possibility is on the horizon. Sagittarius is a fire sign. Set your aim to fly and leave what is not working for you behind.
There is also the sense that we can relax and take in the season, and still move forward. Enjoy lazy Summer days. Moon bathe and dream under the moon's light especially this coming full moon. Satisfy your appetite for life. Believe in what you want. Go towards what makes you feel good and vibrant and walk away from what doesn't. The energy might be a bit intense this weekend. Stay on the bright side and connected to nature.

I kept seeing unicorns while I was doing this reading. They represent the freedom and innocence of childhood dreams, and the magic of life. We possess the ability to make magic. We are magical beings in human bodies. They inhabit the realm of our dreams and subconscious, the world between dreams and reality.
