It's easy to get into a mindset. We may not realize we might be coasting ourselves into a rut. The groove might be pretty good. Maybe nothing crazy has happened as of late, and the comfort of routine has smoothed out the edges. This is a great place to be until we read a book or see a movie that stirs up trouble somewhere deep. A character we've grown attached to moves into a new town beginning a brand new life. He or she finds love in friendly small town and everything seems to just fall into place. The news of an old friend moving to paradise at long last is bittersweet. The story from heartbreak and loss, to love and fulfilled wishes awakens a sleeping dragon of desire. We have felt the tall heights of high hopes and the freshness of starting over. It happens and we know it's possible.

We recognize the feeling of wonder and expectancy when we hold a newborn babe, or get married or watch someone else tie the knot. Degrees and projects completed take us right there to I've arrived. Every step after this is rooted into a new world as we take one foot out of the past and plant both in the future because it feels so rich, beautiful and promising. 

Stories, art and music take us there. They take us to the moment of "now". We feel it in our bones. The earthly wonder and magnificence of a mountain's peak renders us silent, reverent and perfectly still inside. A majestic and humbling ocean or red rock canyon at sunset takes us right to the dawning of a new beginning. The beginning starts in us with how we feel about where we are.

We are conjurers of new beginnings. We can do it at will by how we feel. We are powerful beings. You don't have to travel to catch this feeling. Seek the enchantment of fireflies on a Summer night in your neighborhood...your own backyard. You don't have to be in love to feel the sway in your hips or the charm of your smile unleash-able with a tiny tilt of your head. 

Magic was implanted at birth on your heart so that you could always dream yourself into a new, rich and beautiful future full of hope. Perhaps we have forgotten in the day's rhythm of steps, lists and routines that we can stand again at dawn's doorstep. We can knock on her door at any moment and she will always invite us in.

Cosmic Love ~ New Moon In Taurus www.tatianascavnicky.com

Venus, the planet of love and the New Moon are in the earthy, grounded and sensual sign of Taurus, spreading cosmic love across the sky. Plant seeds for things you love and want and for the things and people you hold dearly. Take time now to think about what you really value and deeply need. Plant desires. Catch your wishes.


☽ Protection 
A lovely white warrior goddess stands balanced between two swans. I love when a new moon appears in a card drawn for a new moon reading. It's the ultimate confirmation of connection to divine consciousness and the spiritual and magical connection we have to the Earth and her moon cycles. We always have one foot here and one in Spirit. 


Swans, a feminine symbol of the moon, are associated with Aphrodite the goddess of love. A sword stands ready for action behind one of the swans, underneath the new moon. It's a call to action. A call to aim and create. Space is open underneath this goddess' other hand to signify the space for creation, the void. 

Swans are a symbol of the world in between where our dreams live, our fertile and powerful subconscious mind. In manifestation we create by becoming clear and asking for what we want, then letting God❥dess take care of the "how" of it all. Her etheric angel wings or fairy wings depending on how you see it, show again that we are in this world but not of it. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.


☽ Sanctuary
Our Taurus muse wears a regal but earthly headpiece and peacock cape. Peacocks are ancient symbols of royalty and protection. She holds her beautiful necklace. She loves the finer things and oozes sensuality. Dress in your sexy and sensual, but comfortable clothes this new moon. Wear treasured rings and pretty jewelry. Eat good food and celebrate life. 

The green tones of this image represent the earth element of Taurus, as an earth sign in astrology. Bulls as they are often called like to think things through before making decisions. They don't like to be pushed. They aren't stubborn they just need to consider things deeply. 

If you feel pushed right now by someone or something in your life, retreat to sanctuary to figure things out and muse over them. This is a big new moon with Venus in Taurus for relationships. Consider the feelings and opinions of others. Consider your own feelings and opinions. True love stems from love. Taurus asks us to consider our own values but to not push them on others. If there is someone you need to forgive or let go of, make this one of your new moon intentions. Then let the big "U" step in. 

During this new moon phase you may feel possessive of your loved ones and your things. It might be time to go through old stuff that you have been holding too, that at one time was of great value to you. Doing this also moves energy in a positive direction. 

Taurus people have beautiful, comfortable and sometimes super-lush abodes. Their home is their sanctuary and they fiercely protect it. It's time to create your own sanctuary. Oh how lovely life is when we can take a break, even if it is for five minutes for a short meditation or time outside. We all have different ideas of what sanctuary is. It might be connecting to nature, or a special spiritual place. While it is wonderful to be able to leave life and go away, sometimes we don't have that luxury. The good news is we don't have to go very far, because we can be renewed by cultivating sanctuary within. 


☽ Grace
This lovely image glows with the colors of Taurus, reds, yellows and oranges. A lovely maiden takes pleasures in the sensuality of the earth. She is surrounded by flowers and showered with the sun's love. Grace is always present for us in the present moment. Right now we are deeply considering what is very important to us. Do our values serve us? Have we gotten away from the our center? Or stuck in the past? I recommend starting with 5 things that are very important to you as your new moon intentions. 

Taurus is a good energy for money-manifesting. Be specific about your financial goals. I want $5000 to take a trip, or I want to increase my monthly salary by this amount of money. It might be time to review your budget, or start monthly savings. It also might mean spending time and money on yourself, especially for women. We change the culture by the choices we make. I heard a man say once that his friend's wife didn't cook and somehow that was wrong. Don't get me started...


We don't need to always push to make things happen. Invite life in. Cultivate "the good life". Nurture yourself so you can nurture your beloveds. Get yourself flowers. Go very Taurean and get a massage and buy a new handbag, shoes or lush throw blanket.

Now and then the light wakes us up. Everything is right and good in the world and we simply wake up feeling like we've won a prize. We transport to a dimension where life's troubles fade away literally into light, not a single hint of stress in sight. Those bright mornings are lucky. Hopefully we still yearn for them. They magically seem to attract more goodness. We take some of that light when we see it in another, maybe even steal it for ourselves. 

We do not yearn for troubled times. We don't ask for feelings of grief and vulnerability. Usually we aren't looking to be hurt to learn things about ourselves, but the shadow will take us straight down to the core.

You could get lost in another person's story, and fall in love their shadow. Intrigued by their light and dark, soulful eyes pull you in. I don't know about you but I would like to be led and guided by someone who has walked in the dark a lot. Someone who has survived the good, bad and ugly. Someone who has been to hell and back... and survived. That's how you become a bad ass. I trust wild, bright, knowing and serene eyes. I trust the experience of those who have gone before me, those who can light their own lamps. I didn't trust it when I was younger, but my innocent eyes couldn't yet see in the dark. 


I see a story in my eyes now. I give refuge to that girl who felt she had to claw and fight for everything she had, like many. I wrap my arms around the part of me that feels righteous anger and trembles with sheer powerlessness. She deserves sanctuary too and a warm soft bed to lay her head. Even jealousy and envy is a sign of a fierce personal desire and want. Hopefully light will lead to that, but how would you know if your shadow hadn't said so?

Spring Equinox 2016: Happy Spring! www.tatianascavnicky.com

You'll be blazing at the start of Spring. In the year of the Monkey, fire and action shake up the status quo. The beginning of this year came in sleepy and soft, but now we are in renovation mode. It may feel like hyper-drive alternating with overwhelm, or wavering between chill-axing, and feeling like it's time to do something, but you don't know what to do. 

Spring gives us the cosmic push to enter the season. If you have been asking for more, it will be given. 

I can't tell you how crazy it seems on the roads right now. People are driving fast and recklessly, driven to get to their destination without thinking about how their speeding and weaving affects other drivers. The last week or so, I have felt like I was being reprogrammed and needed lots of rest.

Time to ground yourself. When you feel overwhelmed or spacey, feel your feet on the ground. Focus on your intentions for Spring. Bring them to voice...speak them out loud. The throat is the center of "I AM". Stating I AM happy and grateful, or I AM healthy and prosperous causes electromagnetic matter to form, from your words, causing things to happen. Declare what you want. Whether lighthearted over a dinner toast, or during a full on Spring ritual, speak it. 


☽ Two of Swords
In the context of this reading this card symbolizes navigating opposites. Life is not all rainbows, ice cream and unicorns. There is earthly stuff that needs to be dealt with. This is also about inhabiting our bodies, even when things are crazy. 

Things may have felt so challenging, escapism wasn't an option. Truth came calling. Time to choose. Spring can help you make moves. Doing a ritual literally moves energy. Prayer and intention are powerful agents of change and manifestation. Between the last Virgo full moon and the recent epic Pisces new moon + super moon + eclipse, it seems the world is magically super charged and racing. Many are seeing themselves in a whole new paradigm....but not sure how to make the switch. 

The message to ground and connect to Mother Earth is very strong. Picture someone standing serenely and powerfully, amidst whirling cycles of energy, dust, earthly matter, and storms. A hurricane of incoming possibilities is available. Don't drink the Kool-aid. Come back to yourself and ground. Make your own potion.  



☽ Page of Wands
New exciting opportunities are on the way. Be confident in your abilities. Lean into your higher power, and your own strength. The page also embodies the fire energy alive now. Watch for impulsiveness and recklessness. Observe and take in information during important business and personal conversations. Courage and charisma is charming, but what is your big picture? Where are you headed? Where do you want to go, even if you prefer to wander, rather than run?

You may have decided to pull back and nurture yourself this Spring, and play more. This card symbolizes getting back to your innocence, and looking at life with new eyes. The new paradigm energy feeling relates here too. Look at yourself through new eyes. See the treasure in your beloveds and all that you have. Ritual actions for the Spring Equinox 

* Go through your closets. Throw away old clothes. Give them away, or donate them. If you haven't worn something in two or three years, it's time to say bye!

*Paint a room in your house, or change out a room by using completely new accessories like pillows, artwork, and paintings. 

*Clean your house. Cleaning is an ancient form of clearing energy and bringing in the new. If you don't want to, hire someone. After cleaning, safely light candles and incense. Sage if you can. Play music and open the windows. Dance in your intentions for Spring. Sing out loud. You can move energy. 

*Get naked and look into a mirror. Being naked is good. It's freeing. We are more beautiful in the skin we were born in. Tell yourself how beautiful you are, and that you are worthy of all you want and more. Blow kisses. Promise to be good to yourself. 

*Clean out your refrigerator.

*Plant seeds for your garden.

*Make a list of things you want to do with your family, and your honey.

*It's the perfect time to renovate your house. If renovation isn't what you have in mind, change it up by redecorating and cleaning up. Get rid of junk and clutter.

I sit here as I write to you in view of these beautiful "Queen Berry" roses. I just had to share them. Their color is a deep magenta cherry red. Are they doing their magic on you yet? This is a color of the heart. Deep reds are related to our root chakra, our hearts and passions. It's time to say "Yes". This week I invite you to make a list of your deepest desires and passions. What do you really want for your life? What do you crave? What do you need? What do you not allow yourself to do or have? 


Say "Yes" to what thrills you. Christiane Northrup writes in her latest book "Goddesses Never Age" which you absolutely must get that cultivating our pleasure is one of "the" healthiest things we can do for ourselves. Imagine the ripple effect for you and yours. In fact not that I am advocating smoking at all...but Christiane says that even behaviors that are probably not so good like smoking a pipe, done in the spirit of exquisite pleasure and not excess could keep one alive for years. 

This week indulge yourself in saying "Yes". I invite you to write a list of wants and desires. Don't hold back. I absolutely love Mama Gena's practice of pimping up your space when you write your list. Break out the faux fur blankets. Put on music you like. Dress UP! Go sexy or go glammy but make it special. Write your list from a place of "YEAH" this is what I want! Be prepared to see what you deeply want for yourself show up in the world. Prepare for all manner of gifts, blessings and perks from the big "U" to come your way. What's on your "Yes" list?

January 20th ☽✩☾SUPER MOON~ NEW MOON Oracle Card Reading ☽✩☾

You are a magical being with the power to create your reality. How does that sit with you? The Aquarius New Moon Super Moon has already lit the lamps and started the fires. We are citizens of the world. We see it's destruction, heartache and terrorism, and pray for it's redemption. I recently bought Bob Marley's Legend album. He sings in "Redemption Song", "Redemption songs, it's all I ever had." 

It's time to sing our songs and pray our magic over our lives. Aquarius calls to the greater good, social responsibility and making a difference on some level. I tell you now, the love you bring in your homes, relationships and within makes more love and we need it. Love is a force of nature, a force for good. Aquarius says "use your powers for good". Know that a job that does not seem to make a difference in any real way, in fact does. The mundane and everyday tasks done with gratefulness and presence "being-here-now" have a major impact on the world. Aquarius pulls at the gifts given to all of us, for the rest. What we do well and love, does others well and makes love. 

New moons represent beginnings and creation. Full moons are for releasing but...this new moon has a releasing energy within it. Have you felt like you know your year will be big? You can feel this spark within, full of promise and yes magic but you still haven't written down or claimed your year's intentions? Have you felt things come up from the past in relationships, or character flaws you've worked on already, so you can play well with others, come out like marauding bandits?

This new moon hits at 0 degrees. How's that for a beginning? It's like rebooting your computer after dumping your "deleted items" your trash. 

There is a resurgence of power now. The kind of power that helps humankind and your community. This power also says strongly "you can have what you want if you really want it". "You deserve the things you want that make your life brighter and bring inspiration, joie de vivre...that bring magic to your home and life.

We've got one to use and love. And we'll be called on to stay on the vision and believe. The people you admire inspire you because they have something you want. They've accomplished something that you value. Accomplishing and reaching your goals has lots to do with action. It has almost as much to do with believing it can be so and sticking to it when it seems it's not happening. Our mentors, teachers, and famous people inspire something already in us. 

This isn't dogged, back-breaking, suffering, striving, trying, hurting energy...it's consistent effort and lots of doing what you already know you have to do and what to do.

Wield your inner power. Pull out your blade. Take the cover off your divine light. Come out of the closet. Put on your superhero*heroine cape.

This king represents Aquarian energy. He cares for the greater good of others through diplomacy and caring. He rules with love. He understands human nature. His views are eclectic as he know many levels of experience and types of people. And he is calm, stable and secure. Internalize this strong, loving and compassionate energy. Use it for yourself (superpowers) and for the good of others. If you have felt like volunteering, do it this year. Answer the call to impact those around you and your community this year.

Aquarius is an air sign. This wind started blowing around December of 2014. YES it's time to broaden your horizons. Yes you know it. It's time to add to your to your skills. Take that class you want to take. Take up the doctor-approved exercise program. Clean slate time. Let the dust of the past be gone. You may travel soon or take a trip. You won't be swept away by this movement. Consider being in the flow of it. Use it to your advantage. Get up earlier. Set your mind and intentions at the beginning of the day....everyday. Create with your HIGHER POWER, your SOURCE. It's a privilege to be able to move your body and use your mind.


Follow your own voice. Follow your own on-fire ideas. If you desperately feel confined by what others expect of you and want from you, go within and figure it out. Use the maverick quality of this new moon to revamp and reinvent your life, simply put...what you want to do. This doesn't mean screw everybody else. It means no more screw me!

The super-challenging shackles and constraints of the past couple years are over. It's time to take what you learned in life school to the bank and rock it.

Perfect acknowledgement here from the angelic realm. Chamuel means "he who sees God". As you see more clearly the path open for you, you are seeing your Divine purpose, God's gift within you. I saw it as God having a magic wand, placing your uniqueness and special talents in you. Chamuel oversees your planetary mission/life purpose, soul mate relationships and worldly advocacy.

This year marks career shifts towards our life purpose and putting the shingle out saying "we are open for business" as a dear friend of mine says.
