The rebirth and beginning of the Astrological year begins with the fire of Aries. Aries folk are self-starters, dreamer-doer types and mavericks, and they will do it their own way. I've always had a "thing" for Aries people. My boyfriend Mark Watson, the creator of AngelEarth Music and master of meditation is an Aries. As a Virgo I secretly honor his stubbornness. I wish I had the fire of his drive to figure things out and conquer. I love his personal magnetism and charisma too, another Aries trait. They are big-picture people. They choose their target and make the mark. Not so concerned with the details, tasks can be left undone but magically come together in the end, when they've set their mind and their aim.
They are leaders, often called the "pioneers of the zodiac". They are fearless, dynamic and fiery. Their independence and self-assured assertiveness is a legendary Aries trait. Ruled by Mars these folks are courageous and unafraid of change. They embrace challenge and eat it for breakfast.
They can be impulsive and talk before thinking. Straight to the point, they won't sugar-coat what they have to say. They can be competitive and eager to get in the game. Their horns are for battering.
In Tarot, Aries is presented by the Emperor. You can feel the fiery masculine energy depicted and see the 'rams' of Aries.
