This beauty just happens to be mine. I've been on the hunt for a crystal to clean and clear my energy, and the vibe in my home. March 20th's Solar Eclipse-New Moon-Super Moon and Spring Equinox opened a doorway to super-consciousness and transformation. I want my home to feel good to me. I need that support in my environment. I am riding the new wave along with you.
If you feel that things have been harder for you since March 20th, I recommend doing a ceremony on the next full or new moon phase. It's also time to do an energetic cleansing of your thoughts and beliefs. It's time to give it up and open your heart to the new. More on this in my next moon phase oracle card reading. For now let's focus on our alchemical star, Smoky Quartz the ultimate cleanser of all-things energetic.
Smoky Quartz is a form of quartz. It's usually clear with darker, smokier hues of brown in it. It can also be mostly brown, ranging to almost chocolate colored. Scotland claimed it as there national gem, calling it Cairngorn, from the Cairngorn mountains. They consider it sacred, it's history dating back to the time of Druids, an intellectual class of theologians, astrologers, diviners, scientists, philosophers and astronomers. This baby is from my favorite crystal shop on the Big Island.

In Feng Shui smoky quartz is put at the front door to keep bad energy out. It is a super-protective stone for any area of the house where you feel you need it. It increases your intuition because it helps to clear accumulations of energy in your aura, your energetic body and your thoughts.
Crystals can be programmed with an intention. This gem is awesome for lightening your thoughts and bringing you back into your body. It's a great healer for worry and transient feelings of depression. Not the kind you see a medical professional for, but you can use it along with traditional therapy.
Smoky Quartz is awesome to keep by your cell phone or computer. Many healers use it to help diffuse and clear the effects of chemo and radiation. Smoky is strong, but I find it's one you may be able to keep by your bedside. You can ask for your new best friend from the elemental kingdom to do it's work, but be soft and supportive enough to be with you while you sleep peacefully.
It's a grounding stone. What does that mean? Smoky Quartz brings focus. If you are all up in your head and stressed out, it's a good earthly elixir for a worried mind and for calming down. It brings you back down to Earth. Remember worry is reversed prayer.
How to Use Smoky Quartz to Ground & Clear Your Energy
To ground and clear your energy, hold a smoky quartz in your hands while standing. Try to be barefoot. Or sit in chair or on the floor, and hold it. You can close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Say a prayer to God, your angels and your spiritual team to help you clear and release any negative energy. Relax. Let go of any concerns, worries or cares.
With each deep breath, use the exhale to push it out, the inhale to receive good energy. Good energy = love, trust, happiness, prosperity, health...the good stuff. Don't fret over what the energy part means.
Touch your chest and your legs with your hands. Feel totally supported by the surface beneath you. Sink into your chair or the floor if you are laying down. Feel your feet and your body connected to the Earth...straight down to the it's core. Let gravity pull you.
You might like to picture and feel yourself laying on the beach, feeling the warm sand underneath you, or the ground of a beautiful, lush forest.

Your favorite colors say a lot about your personality, interests and what you are up to in life. Our intuition speaks to us through the colors we are drawn to. Color influences all aspects of life. The color in our environment affects our moods, which then influences our feelings. A gray rainy day can bring feelings of disappointment and the blahs. Studies show a bright pink room can be calming and soothing. Sports teams sometimes paint their opponents locker rooms pink to de-energize them. Color even influences what we buy and why.
A soft colored blue room is calming. Used a lot in restaurants, a red room is stimulating to your digestion but warm and comfortable. Dark woods are rich and cozy. Contemporary predominantly white environments clear our heads and emote expansion and clarity. Let's get deep into how your intuition speaks to you through color!
Here is what each color means and why you might be drawn to it
Red: Fame. Fortune. Grounding. Security & Stability. Money. Comfort. Romance. Love. Needing nurturing. Being rooted. Root Chakra.
If you are attracted to red you might be seeking fame or success in your career. In Feng Shui, the ancient art of placement to enhance energy and "chi" or good energy, red is used in the fame & wealth areas to bring energy. You might be needing comfort, nurturing or to slow down. Responding to red can mean you are ready for love, or to enhance your current love relationship.
Orange: Creativity. Sexuality. Passion. Relationships. Sacral Chakra.
It's a stimulating combination of yellow and red bringing warmth and excitement. According to the Enneagram orange is the color of Type 7's- the stimulation seeker. They are also called entertainers, optimists, thrill-seekers and adventures. Just like to much of a good thing is too much, too much excitement can lead to excess.
If you are seduced by the color orange you might need more fun, excitement and passion in your life. Your creativity is calling. Do what you love to do. Cook. Write. Paint. Play. Dance. Seek pleasure. Find what turns you on. Spend quality time with your honey and reconnect.
Orange might also mean you are needing to heal. Its's energy will enliven and make you feel good.
Yellow: Joy. Confidence. Courage. Happiness. The Sun. Solar Plexus or Gut Chakra.
Yellow is energizing color. We associate it with the sun, feelings of happiness and sunshine. It can feel very friendly but can be over stimulating to young children. Yellow is not a good color for a nursery, if you want your babes to sleep peacefully and long. Softer shades of yellow are great for a living room especially at night.
It might be time to step out of your comfort zone if yellow is you current color preference. Or you are seeking happiness and joy. Yellow could also mean it's time to be more adventurous or consider a new career. Embrace the sunshine inside you and be confident. Taking action, even small step will give your courage to move forward even further.
Green: Growth. Nature. Money. Finances. Jealousy & Envy. Heart Chakra.
Green is the most restful color on the eyes. It is the healer's color and represents Archangel Raphael who's aura color is green. You might see flashes of green light around people who heal, and they might wear a lot of green and turquoise.
If you love the color green you might be a nature-lover and a go-green advocate. People who love green are very comfortable with being alone and can actually become hermits. They can be deep, sensitive and caring. They are mystics and are called down-to-earth.
If green is calling you, you may be craving harmony and solitude. Your heart might need some healing. The term green with envy comes to mind. if you are feeling envious or jealous, remember that what you see in others that makes you jealous, is something you already have. Or instead of taking action because you might be fearful, it's easier to feel jealous and do nothing.
Green is also a sign that forgiveness of others or self. And the need to release something you have been carrying for a long time, that is sucking your energy dry and keeping you stagnant and stuck. Forgiveness and acceptance doesn't not mean what happened is ok with you. It simply means you move on for you on.
Light Blue: Life Purpose. Artistry. Creativity. Heaven. Wisdom. Truth. Peace. The Sea. Throat Chakra.
Blue is the color of all artists. Singers, teachers, communicators and writers share the color blue as their aura color. If blue is one of your favorite colors you may have a free and artistic spirit but also be particular about how your creativity manifests in the world.
Blue calls to the heart of those who need peace and tranquility. We are 70% water. When we are near the water, our bodies relax and align energetically. If you can't get to the water, get to small body of water, or take a sea salt bath.
Blue is also about purification and cleansing of the spirit. let yourself be guided through meditation and your creativity as to what is best for you a this time. Journaling is wonderful to do if you are blue, or attracted to blue.
Indigo Blue: Intuition. Meditation. Expertise. Consciousness. Intellect. Third Eye Chakra
Indigo Blue a mix of dark blue and dark purple is the color of your third eye, the spiritual eye that sits in between your eyes. This could be a sign to continue meditation, or begin a spiritual practice. Or you've asked Spirit to help you be more intuitive and have a deeper understanding of life. You might be searching for deep truths. Your soul might be urging you to read spiritual texts. Your values could be changing and what used to be important is not anymore.
This color is also the aura color Archangel Michael, the protector and warrior angel. His name means, "he who is like God". You may have asked to be close to your angels and Michael is waiting for you to ask for his energetic protection and guidance. We must always ask for your angels to help, as they cannot intervene on our free will.
Light Violet: Higher Self. Divinity. Spirituality. Nobility. Luxury. Magic. Mystery. Crown Chakra.
A blend of red -matter and blue-spirituality, this color reflects our need to rise above and be connected with our higher power. You may have felt that you just don't feel like you vibe with the people you used to hang out with. There might be an urge to have only positive people in your life.
Attraction to violet may mean you are changing behaviors that aren't good for you, or currently getting help with an addiction. You've had it and you have surrendered. Your white flag is up. Help me God. I need you. if you haven't started on already, Spirit is calling you to have a daily spiritual practice.
White: New Beginnings. Purity. Innocence. Angels. Light. Goodness. Grace. Higher Self. Upper/High Crown Chakra
The color white represents our need to be clear and renewed. We are drawn to white to be purified and healed by the light. If you are a perfectionist, the color white can signify your need for things to be sterile, appear orderly and be perfect. You might be getting rid of old furniture and pairing down the accessories in your environment. Less to look at creates more space for your spirit to breathe and for your future to manifest.
You might be called to pray and feel its time to connect with your angels. They have messages for you and want you to know all is well.
Pink: Youth. Possibility. Unconditional Love. The Divine Feminine. Friendship. Sweetness. Heart Chakra & Crown Chakra
Pink is the color of feeling open, calm and being approachable. Loving the color pink can be a sign your spirit is calling for you to love yourself first, so that you can love another and be loved. Wanting more pink can be call to follow your bliss, or check out to get back to bliss. Wearing rose-colored glasses are a strategy for unpleasant situations you aren't ready to deal with.
You might also feel the need for a complete renewal. It might be time to clear and cleanse your thoughts about not being like you used to be, or linking unpleasant physical symptoms with getting older. These are only thoughts. If you need some inspiration in this department, meet 77 Year Old Ernestine Shepard, the world's oldest bodybuilder. This piece changed my perspective and completely transformed my concept of aging. She shines brighter and glows more than most people I've met in their twenties. Pink is about the power of possibility and renewal.
The color pink represents children, especially girls. You might be trying to get pregnant. This color is sign from the Divine Feminine of sweet love, caring and nurturing.
