There is magic in everyday. There is beauty so arresting in a sunrise and a sunset. This wonder is mine everyday. This enchantment is ours. The moments at dinner with family and friends. So many loved ones not here to be in, to see and touch feel this beauty. Perhaps they can see it from afar like angels do. But they can't really take it in like we can. Maybe as we revel at the day's beginnings, endings and even unravelings, we can bring it to them and ever more richly to us. How lucky we are...

The image above is from a set of photos I took at Old Airport Beach in Kona, Hawaii recently. Finally touching down and acclimating to the time change and El Nino heat, I found my way to one of favorite spots. When I lived on the Island, I wrote there a lot in my journal while sipping coffee and taking in the ocean. Captured by the coming sunset each shot took on the changing qualities of light. I caught the emerging glow.

Swallow the sunrise. Inhale the breeze.
Smell the roses, the coffee, honey and tea.
Revel under each evening's sunset completely unique.
See how you fit in the order of things.
Feel time's stretch in a moment of being.
Your heart beating and beating and beating.
You are alive not because you run and reach
Or because you try hard.
You were born with it...a special something.
Can't quite ever put your finger on it.
It's unexplainable and unnameable.
You radiate it.
You are adored and loved because of it.
You glow.
