Ruler of all things subtle, he rules the realm of inspiration, dreams and illusions. It's as if we are walking through a beautifully surreal, enchanted mist, especially for the next few days. ☽ New Beginnings 
This card represents the recent Leo New Moon Total Solar Eclipse. In fact, astrological aspects of this full moon mirror August 21st's historical cosmic event. If you missed that oracle card reading, check it out here. A portal opened to a new way of life, a brand new way of living and being in the world. An angel queen thrusts a newborn into the sky, eyes closed and committed to starting again. Newborns literally symbolize new life. She isn't sure of the exact direction, but she is moving forward no matter what, boldly taking a risk towards the future in full faith. The Full Moon is directly aligned with Neptune, the ruler of dreamy and ethereal Pisces. Neptune embodies our quest for living out our highest ideals in life, relationships and work. Change is in motion. The woman is Goddess Athena with her all-seeing owl of wisdom. Asteroid Pallas Athena is actually a part of this full moon's astrological forecast. She is the Goddess of wisdom, skill, war and strategy. Bring strategy and groundedness to your goals now. Hold space for them. This card's imagery echoes that space. The owl rests on a tree branch above a rose-gold and yellow wide open space, foretelling of things to come. Athena rests to the side, waiting and holding room for the coming future. She will have the knowledge she needs. She can trust the cycles of life. She can't outrun time, but she can align with it. Hold space. Embrace change. The only thing that doesn't change, is that everything changes. Hold wide open expansion for what you want and what you deserve and for even better...the highest good of it ALL. 

Autumn is coming, or Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Change is inevitable. This card is a portent of the Harvest Moon. Time to reap what you have sown since the Pisces New Moon/Solar Eclipse in February  You might feel distracted and off course, but keep the faith and hold fast to your vision. Be inspired. Read books that inspire you. When you feel scattered get grounded. Set your feet deep into Mother Earth and feel her magnetic pull. Pisces needs the grounding of earth. Virgo is an ultimate earth sign, capable of bringing balance to watery and emotional Pisces. Earthing, or being barefoot on the Earth, is very real. Pondering over life during our last Full Moon, I let the flames of our bonfire pull me in. What did I want to let go of? What did I no longer want to carry or try to figure out? With a Virgo-Sun, Gemini-Rising, Aquarius Moon astro-signature, I was born mentally made for planning, fixing, caring and organizing. Could I accept I didn't have control over the future? What if I stopped? Did that mean I was lazy? Did I dream too big and too much?

Yes, we have ownership and influence over our human and spiritual lives. We play a part in shaping the lives of others...our children and beloveds. 

I was ready to let go of so much. Heavy and overwhelmed by the thought of writing everything down to throw it in the fire, I just wanted to melt and get grounded into Mother Earth. How many people over ages and ages sat together and alone gazing into a fire underneath a full moon? Because of them I am here. Hopefully my ancestors took time to acknowledge their journey and the impact of their lives. Many around the world don't even have access to electricity and water. Many are in between countries. 

I want to respect and recognize the trials of those who came before me. So I must do the same for myself as a marker of all I have done in life and accomplished, making it through triumph and tragedies of my own, as we all do. 

Look at all the wonder in my world and the healing, music and magic I have hopefully brought to others. I came here to serve. I came here with a message and gifts, as we all did. You my dear have already done so much, simply considered in your mind to be what we all do or what we should do. The sheer and unavoidable responsibilities of life, schedules, classes, and books read to learn about life. The grace of your morning hug desperately counted on by a child. Kindness given to strangers at the grocery store and the elderly in need of a sprinkling of compassion. 

We have such power. The days we get out of bed wishing we could just rest and lay there, and let life go on without us. Times when we are so out of touch with ourselves because crisis has come calling again. But somehow and in some way we make it back again and again. We don't recognize the depth of how far we've come...all that we have accomplished, and how much we mean to others. 

Don't underestimate or underrate yourself. Look at how much you've already done and you will do so much more. Look how far you've come.

Now and then the light wakes us up. Everything is right and good in the world and we simply wake up feeling like we've won a prize. We transport to a dimension where life's troubles fade away literally into light, not a single hint of stress in sight. Those bright mornings are lucky. Hopefully we still yearn for them. They magically seem to attract more goodness. We take some of that light when we see it in another, maybe even steal it for ourselves. 

We do not yearn for troubled times. We don't ask for feelings of grief and vulnerability. Usually we aren't looking to be hurt to learn things about ourselves, but the shadow will take us straight down to the core.

You could get lost in another person's story, and fall in love their shadow. Intrigued by their light and dark, soulful eyes pull you in. I don't know about you but I would like to be led and guided by someone who has walked in the dark a lot. Someone who has survived the good, bad and ugly. Someone who has been to hell and back... and survived. That's how you become a bad ass. I trust wild, bright, knowing and serene eyes. I trust the experience of those who have gone before me, those who can light their own lamps. I didn't trust it when I was younger, but my innocent eyes couldn't yet see in the dark. 


I see a story in my eyes now. I give refuge to that girl who felt she had to claw and fight for everything she had, like many. I wrap my arms around the part of me that feels righteous anger and trembles with sheer powerlessness. She deserves sanctuary too and a warm soft bed to lay her head. Even jealousy and envy is a sign of a fierce personal desire and want. Hopefully light will lead to that, but how would you know if your shadow hadn't said so?

Weekly Mantra: Confidence + Vulnerability = Inner Strength www.tatianascavnicky.com

Sometimes we just don't know where we are going and may feel totally lost. It's so easy to struggle and freak out when you can't see the forest for the trees. Stepping back with grace and vulnerability gives space for responding, and for Divining. What is Divining? Leaning on Spirit. Leaning into your spiritual practice. Pulling oracle cards, praying, waiting and watching for the way to be clear. 

Emotionally we can get pulled down by sadness if we keep running from discomfort. Realms of poetry, books, songs and art have been made from this very discontent. Bleeding hearts touch us so that our own troubled hearts can rise up again. Discomfort may just be your biggest ally. Your heart and soul urging you to look more deeply. Follow the smaller signs and keep to the road you are on right now...self-care is super key in times like these.


What to do:
*Have compassion. Don't beat yourself up. Treat yourself like you would a friend. You will find your way.

*Have things to look forward to like spending time with your peeps.

*Schedule self-care essentials like massage and facials.

*Movie Night! 
Watch your favorite movies back to back or TV series. Get munchies & furry blankets. Turn the lights down.

*If you are drawn to a book, course or class...have at it!

*Clear out clutter 
This one is huge! If you have been reading my blog, you know how magical and transformative I believe getting rid of crap is. Getting rid of crap is getting rid of your crap. If you are all organized, get your house deep cleaned or clean it yourself. Do something you have been putting off. it will make you feel "confident" in the midst of vulnerability. 

*Schedule an intuitive session 
Getting confirmation of your current issues and feelings is a huge comfort during a dark night of the soul. Knowing the bigger picture, seeing how the pieces could eventually fit together eases anxiety and brings hope to a troubled mind. 


Confidence and vulnerability can exist side by side. The depth of our biggest fears mirror the greatest love and strength of which we are capable of.

Scorpio New Moon ☽❍☾ Beauty In The Breakdown ~ November 11th 2015 www.tatianascavnicky.com

A flock of birds flew, gathering at my window as I asked and prayed for guidance for this new moon oracle card reading. A few hundred landed eating, circling and singing. Thank you Mother Nature for this auspicious and magical sign. Birds are a sign of magical power and manifestation. The funny thing about these birds was I couldn't figure out what kind they were, or where they came from. 

I chose one of my favorite decks fitting for this especially transformative and powerful new moon. It's moody and layered. New Moons are for new beginnings but this one dives deep into the nether depths of our psyches.

You may have felt this coming. Melancholy, moodiness and mood swings were a sign of a great opening. Do not deny your shadow. Welcome the parts of you that you judge to not be good. Set a place at your table for the part of you that swims in the watery emotional and murky depths of emotion. You have grown into yourself from the hardest and most difficult times to be an amazing "You".


☽ Celebration
The three butterflies represent three Scorpio animal signs. Scorpion, eagle & phoenix. Butterflies symbolize complete and total metamorphosis. The scorpion is the sacred mystery of healing reachable from your deepest wounds. This Scorpion is our darker emotions like rage and jealousy. The saying we are never mad for the reason we think we are mad works here. 

The Eagle takes flight. Still a fierce hunter but begins to see the bigger picture of emotions and power struggles. The phoenix is the fire needed for transformation. Tangle and turn with your deepest emotions now. Explore your insecurities. Being jealous is really wanting what someone else has for yourself. Fear grounds you from flying free. Not liking a character trait in someone else, is a mirror to not liking that about yourself. 


☽ Healing
Scorpio is the sign of transmutation, regeneration and healing. The 2 serpents the medical symbol for healing represent birth and fertility, the root of Scorpio's magic. The apothecary bottles here show cultivating health brings balance. We are healers. We know what brings joy and vitality. What is your prescription? 

The red flowers represent health and vibrancy, and our roots. Where do you need to break out of tribal or ancient ideas that don't fit you anymore? What habits have you wanted to create? Do you need to go to bed earlier? What's no working? Our Medicine Woman has a green glow... the color of healing also symbolizing the harmony of healing in Mother Nature's arms. 


☽ Compassion
Finally this beautiful card is the acceptance of deep vulnerabilities. It is so much easier to have compassion for others, yet still be so hard on ourselves. Compassion is the ultimate healer. We invited the feelings we so want to push down into our hearts and communed with them. Set a beautiful table for the parts of you that you are not proud of. Honor her too, because she was scared, lonely and lost. Have compassion for her. A lovely being lays on the ground with butterfly wings, metamorphosized. The light is this New Moon's transformational magic. You have walked the deepest depths so you can truly feel the healing light.
