Lay Down Your Roots & Count Your Lucky Stars ~ Libra New Moon Oct. 19th 2017 www.tatianascavnicky.com

Jupiter the planet of fortunate blessings beams optimism, wealth, opportunity and big-picture vision for a bright future during this Libra New Moon. As I write, a Red-Tailed Hawk calls from my backyard. Hawks as totems, are related to the new moon (I love the synchronicity!) and to fall. It's a supreme messenger bird giving you visionary information for your life purpose. It comes to say, "Your prayers are being answered. Recognize, own and share your gifts." 

Red-Tail Hawk represents the first chakra, or root chakra. When you are right at the roots, everything lines up. The red root chakra is the bioenergy center of your feet, legs, lower abdomen and back. It rules tribal energy and the beliefs we were raised with, as well as money and abundance, and feeling safe and secure. Expect healing from the ground up! We went into hyper-drive mode August 21st at the Leo New Moon - Total Solar Eclipse and continues. We are still in the midst of that cosmic portal of change.

And this Libra New Moon comes with two very fortunate lucky stars! Can you feel it? Let's see what the cards have to say... 

☽ Protection
Two regal swans protect a lovely white goddess. Yet again, the cards accurately represent the moon phase. A new moon rises above her left shoulder, our feminine side, from where we receive, feel and intuit energy from. I shuffle the deck I use for readings, at least seven times, until they tell me to stop. When I am giving a reading, I am often asked, "Who are they?" They are who I call on at the beginning of every reading. My prayer is, "Dear God/dess, archangels, ancestors, ascended masters and all manner of light beings, I ask that you continue to make me a perfect channel. Whatever messages, guidance or healing that (the person I am reading) needs to get, that they receive it. So you, my dear are receiving this reading, and all the prayers and divining that came along with it.

Swans represent Winter, and the awakening of our true, authentic beauty and power. Because it is one of the most ancient animal totems, it is a calling for us to rise up and step into our true power. True power is graceful, open, generous, able and strong. These graceful and regal birds represent the child, dreamer and mystic, and are connected to the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Whispers of previous lifetimes and pivotal past lives may already be calling you to reclaim your spiritual inheritance and gifts. Were you a medicine man or woman, shaman/shamaness, healer, priest/priestess or witch? If the word "witch" scares you, it may be that you were punished and maybe even killed for being a wise women. Witches worked with folk magic, or earth magic. They knew the healing properties of herbs and roots, and energetic healing techniques. Their original image and purpose was distorted much later by the patriarchy to be dark and maleficent, and you know the other word. In fact men were allowed in many cases to continue to practice as sorcerers, and work as high ranking people in high courts, as scribes and advisors.

The point is you are leveling up, coming into alignment and being called to do what you came here to do. The mystic is being called to the mountain, retreat and meditation pillow. The healer is called to get a medical degree or pursue a certification. The astronomer to divine and name the stars, and the matchmaker to match. Third eyes are waking up everywhere, making you intensely more sensitive to the energy of people, places and things. If you are having issues with that, it might be time to have a session together. There are definite ways you can protect your vibration. Knowing the full story behind it all, and why now...will come through in an intuitive reading, giving you strength, relevant information and techniques to manage and grow.

☽ Purity
A beautiful maiden's veil appears to represent Libra, the keeper of the scales of balance and justice. Pure intentions bring harmony and balance within. Purity of mind, body and spirit creates union. What is the core of your spiritual practice? Meditation? Journaling? Time with friends at the end of a long week? What is at the core of your self-care? Lean into that because there will be unexpected surprises during this lunation. Huge changes that began back in August at the Total Solar Eclipse continue. This is the end of a Number one year. 2+0+1+7=1 What is more true than ever for you? Your truth sets you free! Bite into that apple and taste the juice, everyday. Who wants the best for you? What is at the center of your happiness? What desires and wishes will you keep and nurture, and what are you not taking with you in 2018?

Her gaze is focused and intense. Flowers on either side of her veil are Libra's scales. Are you making good choices? For me, life has felt chaotic but rich with goodness, creativity and inspiration. I have SO been called! My dear if everyday is like groundhog day, it's time. Are you longing for something to sink your teeth and your soul into? If you know what it is, go for it. When fear comes in the guise of overwhelm, just take it step by step. When things are going wrong, they just might be going right. We are not in charge and don't have control of everything. That's a hard pill to swallow for a virgo-sun, gemini-rising. Something much greater and oh so magnificent has our back. There really are no words to even describe it. Purify your focus and take the opportunity of this new moon, to get to the heart of what is true for you at this time and what you really want to create and call in now. New moons are for creating my dear.



☽ Healing
Watch out for doing too much that you run yourself ragged. It is very important to shield and protect your energy at this time, especially if you are just beginning to claim the powerful intuitive gifts you were born with. You came here with something to do and share, and we are counting on it. Limit your time in negative places and with negative people. Even though Halloween is just around the corner, lock your energy up tight from energy vampires. Pains in your shoulders and neck are often energetic cords of attachment from mothers, sisters and female friends, especially on the left side. Issues swept under the rug in relationship that we may have been keeping the peace for, may come out and erupt. This is all types of partnerships, personal and business.

Great healing aspects come with this new moon's rise. As I said earlier, refine your self-care routine or stick tight with what is working for you. You have changed a lot! We are still downloading so much as spiritual beings. When you pray you are downloading direct messages. Some of these are too big to comprehend, because if you knew what Spirit had in store for you, you might totally freak out! Or not believe it, preventing this miracle to happen for you and your life, because you couldn't believe it could happen. Stay balanced and true to yourself.

An earthy Virgo Sun offsets a dreamy, super-psychic and otherworldly Pisces Full Moon. Expect your feelings and emotions to run high, and your intuition. You might feel especially sensitive. Third eyes, or our intuitive eyes, will be lighting up and activating across the planet. This mystical and creative ultra-feminine moon lines up with Neptune, God of the oceans. Ruler of all things subtle, he rules the realm of inspiration, dreams and illusions. It's as if we are walking through a beautifully surreal, enchanted mist, especially for the next few days. Careful not to be disillusioned. Dot all your i's and cross all your t's in business ventures and with people who have not been trustworthy in the past. Let's see what the cards have to say... 

☽ New Beginnings 
This card represents the recent Leo New Moon Total Solar Eclipse. In fact, astrological aspects of this full moon mirror August 21st's historical cosmic event. If you missed that oracle card reading, check it out here. A portal opened to a new way of life, a brand new way of living and being in the world. An angel queen thrusts a newborn into the sky, eyes closed and committed to starting again. Newborns literally symbolize new life. She isn't sure of the exact direction, but she is moving forward no matter what, boldly taking a risk towards the future in full faith. The Full Moon is directly aligned with Neptune, the ruler of dreamy and ethereal Pisces. Neptune embodies our quest for living out our highest ideals in life, relationships and work. Make room for your dreams. Dream big now...really big. You might want to create a picture journal, dream board or box. Or plant something in the backyard as a ritual. Put a lovely crystal under it.

Change is in motion. The woman is Goddess Athena with her all-seeing owl of wisdom. Asteroid Pallas Athena is actually a part of this full moon's astrological forecast. She is the Goddess of wisdom, skill, war and strategy. Bring strategy and groundedness to your goals now. Hold space for them. This card's imagery echoes that space. The owl rests on a tree branch above a rose-gold and yellow wide open space, foretelling of things to come. Athena rests to the side, waiting and holding room for the coming future. She will have the knowledge she needs. She can trust the cycles of life. She can't outrun time, but she can align with it. Hold space. Embrace change. The only thing that doesn't change, is that everything changes. Hold wide open expansion for what you want and what you deserve and for even better...the highest good of it ALL. 

Autumn is coming, or Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Change is inevitable. This card is a portent of the Harvest Moon. Time to reap what you have sown since the Pisces New Moon/Solar Eclipse in February  You might feel distracted and off course, but keep the faith and hold fast to your vision. Be inspired. Read books that inspire you. When you feel scattered get grounded. Set your feet deep into Mother Earth and feel her magnetic pull. Pisces needs the grounding of earth. Virgo is an ultimate earth sign, capable of bringing balance to watery and emotional Pisces. Earthing, or being barefoot on the Earth, is very real. Genius is irreverent. It innovates and restructures. It explodes and erases conformist societal beliefs and existing paradigms. Both Leo and Aquarius are at 15°, the spiritual alchemist number. Make way for your inner freedom fighter, freak-flag flier, rebel and rebel feminine. Be ready to see things totally fresh and new. A future of your making is yours to create, as spiritual alchemists do. Take back your power in your own individual and creative way, in your neck of the woods. Be on the lookout for your soul tribe peeps. Come out of the closet. Express yourself authentically regardless of how it rolls with the rest of the world. ☽ Intuition
Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon. Her left shoulder, the feminine side is open to the water and a portal. The portal is eclipse energy opening like a vacuum. Will you dive in and listen for what your inner-knowing says? Or resist? Water represents emotion, intuition and receptivity. The gray, silvery and white colors reflect Aqua energy. Aquarius is thinking/mental energy. Originally, the waves of Aquarius meant two serpents. ♒  Serpents represent great wisdom and knowledge. That wisdom is running through you. You have access to it. 

August energy is very activated and it will need balance. Take time to be with yourself and your thoughts. Tempers may flare, yours included. Things may explode. The lunar eclipse that comes with Monday's full moon and the upcoming Leo New Moon/Solar Eclipse is powerful and destructive as we shall see later in this reading. There could be relationship breakdowns, break-ups and breakthroughs. You may have already experienced a taste of this. The energy is building. There is a no-turning-back kind of feeling, like I simply can't go on this way any longer. To find your way through these crisis points, take an inner journey, the journey of intuition. There is no need to thrash, or crash and burn, but with this energy you might want to, in an attempt to feel better, or shake off the angry vibes. Astrologers consider eclipses wildcards because they shake things up.

☽ Guardian Angel
Take care of yourself sweetly and gently. This card tells of ancestors ultimately with us, even after death. You may have found yourself saying, "My Mom wouldn't want me to live like this. My Grandmother would want me to be happy." This is an awakening full moon with a harmonizing vibe. Traveling from here through eclipse season could be a blessing in disguise. The job you've lost love and inspiration for, might just disappear. Your company may close down or merge with another, and you are being offered severance pay. Or you might be let go. Like I said earlier, relationship break-ups, including partnerships are possible now, or total re-commitment at a new level of mutual respect and understanding could happen as well. 

In full alignment of an aquarian sisterhood and brotherhood moon phase, angels represent unconditional love and service to the greater good of humanity. They also bring the message to observe our feelings and emotions, and the thoughts we have about them. Upsets and fights may trigger deep emotions that feel super intense, and hard to hold inside. You might combust or blow your top. I often say, anger has powerful information for you. Go inward. Let your body process the feeling. Your body knows. It can take you back to the root of that anger. Awareness of these tender and touched places brings healing light, and the clearing can begin. Witness the original root of intense and difficult feelings and emotions, especially repetitive and recurring ones. Detached aquarian energy will help you see better, so you can move towards and take care of yourself. 

If you've been thinking about your mother lately, the pink carnations are a sign that she is with you, if she has passed on. Have you felt her? Deceased loved ones leave signs and hints when they visit, like a rush of air next to you, but there is no breeze, or smelling their perfume. You might go into a store after having thought about them and see something that totally reminds you of them. Take this in cause it's real!


☽ Kali
Step right up. Don't be shy. Kali destroys the old so the new can enter. She has no fear and she comes to tell you that you can move through what stops you, and she will help you. This month is the perfect time. Calling on Kali is intense. She is the Hindu goddess of creation, preservation and destruction.This full moon lunar eclipse brings the urge to purge. If you have been feeling like a slave to your life and trapped, between now August 21st is pivotal. When you are really ready to cut ties and leave the past behind, call on Kali. Her energy is relentless and insatiable. She's not afraid to go to war. I can feel that!! If you need to be a warrior or warrioress, she will be there. But you must step out of her way and let her do her thing. If you are beyond ready for change, she's your force of nature, and when you call on her, know that transformation has been set into motion. I think twice before I call on Kali, cause she's not nice! She is the destroyer. But she means business and will get the job done. 

Floating in the stars, she is the symbol of the eclipse season happening now. Change is imminent, including leaders and those in power. I take a few pictures before I choose then one I'll use. In every one Kali was flooded with light. I knew this had meaning for the the huge shifts and transformations possible, and the ones happening for you, on your behalf that I was talking about earlier. Now is the time to pursue your life's passion. What you love to do serves the world. Aquarius and Leo energy together say to be true to yourself and to your gifts. You are your most precious and greatest resource. 


☽ Bast
The Egyptian goddess of pleasure, music, dance, healing and cats of course, is a little preview of what's to come in August. She represents the sun and Leo's 'living large' and 'being seen' energy. Check out the statue of her in the photo of my altar for the last oracle card reading, On the 21st a fiery Leo New Moon will blaze it's beautiful sunny light. The serpent on her head is another sign of the undeniable and strong inner wisdom we all have within...always. Time to reset, hire and fire! More to come!!

FIRE POWERED LEO NEW MOON: Shine Like A Diamond & Be Bold ~ July 23rd 2017 www.tatianascavnicky.com

The stars and planets are on fire! Sun, moon, Mercury, Mars, north node and New Moon are in Leo. Eclipse Season has officially begun. We are compelled to move forward. Destined. There is great power and momentum here in this moon cycle. Fortunate blessings abound. Unexpected opportunities and breakthroughs in your career and life purpose, are afoot. This magic is hot and fiery, and full of heart-opening joy. 

☽ Lakshmi ~ Bright Future
This card nearly popped out at me from the deck. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, affluence, beauty and the expansion of your life purpose and mission. The sun radiates behind her and rippled waves of sunshine emanate from her being.  An undeniable reference to Leo. She radiates life-force energy. Elephants signify royalty and her co-rulership with abundant elephant headed deity Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. The pink lotus flower represents divine beauty. Traditional images of Lakshmi picture her with four hands. Her left upper hand stands for dharma or duty. Her left lower hand not shown in this image, is for material wealth. Living your dharma means to live in sync to the laws of nature and your divine destiny. When you do what you love, be prepared to inspire. Right now it feels so easy to shine like the star that you are. After all, we are all made of stardust.  

Have you already begun to make changes across the board in life and in biz? A dear friend of mine shared that she is going on a trip and taking the train for the first time. She also dyed her hair a new color which looks so good on her! It's that kind of moon! I am currently changing everything over, and combining my blog and current website, to a brand new one. I am so excited! More on that. Of course I will keep you in the loop so you can join me at my new magical hub. But I digress as one would in this fiery energy. My rising and moon signs are made of air. Burn baby burn! 

If you are a Virgo like me, or a Gemini, your Mercury is also in Leo. Rising signs count here too. I don't know about you but I have been on fire with ideas and change. I have notebooks open everywhere. One for the current book I am reading "Burning Woman", by Lucy Pearse. It's red. (It's changing my world.) One for my journal. Another one, black for charting my cycles. A smaller pink one I started on the plane during my last trip to Kona. It has a lot of my New Moon and Full Moon ritual lists. My Virgo sistah goddess friend who lives on the Big Island, has been posting facebook pictures non-stop of Hawaii like mad. Thank you Loretta... leading lady at Kona Rock & Mineral, where I use to give readings. You simply must visit her and tell her I sent you. She might give you a read and recommend a special crystal for you. 

Mercury rules communication, ideas, commerce, speaking, siblings and travel. It's time to implement change. There is great potential in your "work" or life purpose now. Astrologers are pointing out that the Leo New Moon will happen at 00 degrees, hovering in the void of creation, the zero point. Make room for super-transformational and long-lasting changes. Ask yourself questions like if I was doing what I really loved, how would I feel? How can I do that now? How can I feel that way now? How can I step up? Let your heart roar with passion and effervescence. Leo rules the heart with pride, regalness, generosity and flair. When a Leo walks into the the room we notice. They usually have great hair! Like a lion's mane, it can be curly, thick, huge, wavy or full, or all of the above. 

☽ Athena ~ Inner Wisdom
She is warrior goddess of courage wisdom, strategy, skill and the arts. The owl, seen with Athena rules seeing the truth, higher wisdom and protection. (Lakshmi is sometimes seen with an owl too.) Her presence here aligns with the courage and protection of Leo lion/lioness energy. As Doreen Virtue says in her Goddess deck that I absolutely love, "...she does battle with wits instead of weapons." Be fierce. A hurricane of white-hot energy is coming through that could change the playing field of your life. Feed your fire. Fan your flames. Where do you shine? Time to step up. It may not feel difficult at all. If you are fearful, you know what to do! Take small steps. Any step is courageous.Taking action is moving forward. I am rooting for you and cheering you along the way. I know you can do it! Walk tall and be proud of who you are. 

Athena's locket sits at her heart. Leo rules the heart. Let the sun into your heart. Let joy in. The north node is your true north. It moved into Leo in the second week of May. I wrote about this in my last oracle card reading. We're on our path to our true north. The south node, ruling your karmic destiny and releasing old patterns, went into Aquarius. Aquarius rules innovation, uniqueness, going against the grain, high-mindedness and the greater good. These are the themes available now for us to work with. It's exciting! It's a brave new world. Be ready to take risks, not crazy ones...but you know what I mean. Reach out to people you want to spend time with. Reach out to people you feel drawn to do business with. Give your card out and keep it with you. Share yourself and your work from the heart. Pursue with heart, passion and play. Just give it a shot. Nervousness is really excitement. More fire to use for the pursuit of your dreams and all that lights you up. 

Light is a big theme of this new moon. Leo is the Sun of the zodiac. Also in the astrological mix is Chiron, the wounded healer. He brings the potential for energetic healing and the healing of our bodies. I believe with every cell of my body, that there is also potential here to heal past lives. As we heal ourselves we heal the ones who came before us. Love this quote from the goddess of all things related to women's health and wellness. ☽ Union 
Sunny yellow light emanates from the shoulders of a goddess. Leo light and fire, no doubt. Shut the front door! The bloom on the crown of her head is a pink lotus, seen in the first card. If you are a reader of my blog, you are hip to the crazy-accurate symbolism of these readings. She's being pulled from her heart, up and forward. It's very important now to follow your heart, to heal your heart and let yourself be loved. Your Higher Power loves you. It is love and you are love's child. 

You can safely release attachment to outcomes while continuing to keep your ultimate goals in mind. Just keep going. Move forward. This moon's medicine may just be the kind of shift to completely shake off something you are having a hard time letting go of. A **safely** performed new moon fire ritual is a must! 

This new moon can bring the possibility of new relationships! Feeling like it's time to explore dating again? Be open to strutting your beautiful self. This moon could make you get a tattoo or do something you might regret. Think on it a bit. You might feel the throws of passion. Let them burn a bit before you jump in.

Phoenix Rising: Scorpio Full Moon May 10th 2017 www.tatianascavnicky.com

Scorpio rules magic, rebirth and spirituality. Scorpios themselves are loyal, mysterious, strong, passionate and ambitious. This moon phase is of the toxic clearing, soul-level kind. The serpent, eagle and ultimately the phoenix, rise up from the aches of our dark and stormy discontents and character traits. Negative experiences from the past can get made into good medicine. You have access to Magic my dear!

☽ Artemis
Artemis, goddess of the hunt and the moon, and protector of children, was sometimes called the virgin. She was a lone huntress perfectly able to care for herself. She was a bad-ass. In "The Great Cosmic Mother: Rediscovering the Religion of the Earth" by Monica Sjoo & Barbara Moor, they reveal the original meaning of the word virgin, which meant to be an unmarried woman, not belonging to a man and sexually independent. She was "one-in-herself". Moon priestesses were called virgins. The word virgin itself comes from its latin root, meaning force, strength and skill, and was associated with sexual independence, not sexual chastity. 

Artemis shows the intense work you've done on yourself. You've fought to become whole. You've been driven to grow and it's no easy task sometimes. This card says "good job!". You've done a lot of work! You've gained inner-power from seeing clearly what can tear you down inside and what could tear others down. This Scorpio Full Moon is pushing that cleanse. Perfectionism can have a high-octave edge in business but not-so-much in relationships. If you are an emotional person, your compassion can be a great healer, especially when you are a coach or therapist, but could make keeping boundaries difficult. Self-care isn't selfish, it's essential.

As I often say we are human and divine. We have needs and desires, and the need to be intimately close with our beloveds. Scorpio is a passionate and sexual sign ruling the sacral chakra of creativity, passion and sexuality. If you don't feel like you are shedding your skin, a scorpionic event, you might still be going through the cycle of death, rebirth and transcendence. You might still be trying to find your authenticity in the underworld of change. This lunar phase paves the way for all that wants to be shed. It's metamorphosis at soul level depths. Up your self-devotion. Feed your desires as well as your responsibilities.   

☽ Lakshmi ~ Bright Future
The way is clear now. This card shows where you are right now in the present. Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, beauty, affluence and life purpose. Go for the gold now. I love silver and feel it's connected to the goddess and the moon, but I want gold too. I've never felt like wearing gold. This is what I mean about this moon. Things about you might be unrecognizable to your past self. 

She says to not worry. It's time to release the blocks related to your life purpose, your wealth and your joy. If you don't have a gratitude journal, start one right away. Create a success strategy. What you do everyday is where the gold is. This card says great things are on their way. Open your hands and let go. Follow your passion. 


☽ Butterfly Maiden
Hopi goddess Butterfly Maiden symbols are spring flowers, fertility and rebirth. Her presence is perfectly in sync for this oracle card reading. Butterflies another one of her symbols, represent metamorphosis. Did you know a caterpillar completely dissolves before it becomes a great and beautiful butterfly? What is it that you really want let go of now? Even if you think you can't, or have no idea how you could? Full moons are for releasing. Because of the deep soul-level clearing that is available, you can heal from toxic emotions and long-standing resentments. Full moons are for forgiveness. If jealousy and resentment have got their claws in you, you can move on. You can at least begin now. Compete with yourself and forget everything else. 

Where are you emotionally uncomfortable? There is important info there. Geneen Roth who wrote "Women Food and God", talks about how leaning into our pain, instead of stuffing ourselves with food, is where healing is. There are emotions and feelings there that need attention. You might be feeling overwhelmed during the full moon. It's the perfect time to slowly start looking at long-standing procrastination, obsession and anxiety, and any emotional difficulties that a professional could help you with, or look at them through journaling and meditation.
