Lay Down Your Roots & Count Your Lucky Stars ~ Libra New Moon Oct. 19th 2017 www.tatianascavnicky.com

Jupiter the planet of fortunate blessings beams optimism, wealth, opportunity and big-picture vision for a bright future during this Libra New Moon. As I write, a Red-Tailed Hawk calls from my backyard. Hawks as totems, are related to the new moon (I love the synchronicity!) and to fall. It's a supreme messenger bird giving you visionary information for your life purpose. It comes to say, "Your prayers are being answered. Recognize, own and share your gifts." 

Red-Tail Hawk represents the first chakra, or root chakra. When you are right at the roots, everything lines up. The red root chakra is the bioenergy center of your feet, legs, lower abdomen and back. It rules tribal energy and the beliefs we were raised with, as well as money and abundance, and feeling safe and secure. Expect healing from the ground up! We went into hyper-drive mode August 21st at the Leo New Moon - Total Solar Eclipse and continues. We are still in the midst of that cosmic portal of change.

And this Libra New Moon comes with two very fortunate lucky stars! Can you feel it? Let's see what the cards have to say... 

☽ Protection
Two regal swans protect a lovely white goddess. Yet again, the cards accurately represent the moon phase. A new moon rises above her left shoulder, our feminine side, from where we receive, feel and intuit energy from. I shuffle the deck I use for readings, at least seven times, until they tell me to stop. When I am giving a reading, I am often asked, "Who are they?" They are who I call on at the beginning of every reading. My prayer is, "Dear God/dess, archangels, ancestors, ascended masters and all manner of light beings, I ask that you continue to make me a perfect channel. Whatever messages, guidance or healing that (the person I am reading) needs to get, that they receive it. So you, my dear are receiving this reading, and all the prayers and divining that came along with it.

Swans represent Winter, and the awakening of our true, authentic beauty and power. Because it is one of the most ancient animal totems, it is a calling for us to rise up and step into our true power. True power is graceful, open, generous, able and strong. These graceful and regal birds represent the child, dreamer and mystic, and are connected to the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Whispers of previous lifetimes and pivotal past lives may already be calling you to reclaim your spiritual inheritance and gifts. Were you a medicine man or woman, shaman/shamaness, healer, priest/priestess or witch? If the word "witch" scares you, it may be that you were punished and maybe even killed for being a wise women. Witches worked with folk magic, or earth magic. They knew the healing properties of herbs and roots, and energetic healing techniques. Their original image and purpose was distorted much later by the patriarchy to be dark and maleficent, and you know the other word. In fact men were allowed in many cases to continue to practice as sorcerers, and work as high ranking people in high courts, as scribes and advisors.

The point is you are leveling up, coming into alignment and being called to do what you came here to do. The mystic is being called to the mountain, retreat and meditation pillow. The healer is called to get a medical degree or pursue a certification. The astronomer to divine and name the stars, and the matchmaker to match. Third eyes are waking up everywhere, making you intensely more sensitive to the energy of people, places and things. If you are having issues with that, it might be time to have a session together. That's a hard pill to swallow for a virgo-sun, gemini-rising. Something much greater and oh so magnificent has our back. There really are no words to even describe it. ☽ Healing
Watch out for doing too much that you run yourself ragged. It is very important to shield and protect your energy at this time, especially if you are just beginning to claim the powerful intuitive gifts you were born with. You came here with something to do and share, and we are counting on it. Limit your time in negative places and with negative people. Even though Halloween is just around the corner, lock your energy up tight from energy vampires. Pains in your shoulders and neck are often energetic cords of attachment from mothers, sisters and female friends, especially on the left side. Issues swept under the rug in relationship that we may have been keeping the peace for, may come out and erupt. This is all types of partnerships, personal and business.

Great healing aspects come with this new moon's rise. As I said earlier, refine your self-care routine or stick tight with what is working for you. You have changed a lot! We are still downloading so much as spiritual beings. When you pray you are downloading direct messages. Some of these are too big to comprehend, because if you knew what Spirit had in store for you, you might totally freak out! Or not believe it, preventing this miracle to happen for you and your life, because you couldn't believe it could happen. Stay balanced and true to yourself.

We are intrinsically and cosmically connected to the sun, moon and stars and fundamentally to our beautiful Mother Earth. It is impossible to ignore the way we feel on a mountain crest or at the water's edge. Something deep within turns and tumbles with love and wordless deep recognition at the rising moon above the ocean as our ancestors did before us. It is mythical really to contemplate the connection we have to the world around us, and the many galaxies of the skies.

The new moon solar eclipse on its way September 1st is already working its Virgoan mojo. Stay tuned for your oracle reading here. The potential for wonderworking between the new moon solar eclipse and full moon lunar eclipse this month is huge. Virgos get a bad rap being called out for perfectionism but Virgo is the sign associated with alchemy. She says through the beauty of what we believe life can be and hope for as truth, we transform it.

So as you feel the deep connection to the stars at night know you are made of the same stuff. Use new moons for creating and manifesting, and full moons for release and shedding of the old. Crystal Alchemy: Sweet Selenite ~ A Must-Have Gem www.tatianascavnicky.com

Selenite is named after the Greek Goddess of the moon, Selene. This delicate, soft and serene crystal is one of "the" crystals to have around you to create peace, serenity and calm. Some crystals can disturb your sleep, but you can put this gem on your bedside table. Because Selenite is restful and soothing, it can be used for helping with insomnia. Try it out and see. Use it for clearing your mind and emotions, and to release stress. It does wonders for relaxation and meditation.

Selenite is a form of gypsum which means "liquid light". It can be white, peachy brown rose as “Desert Rose Selenite”, or orange and blue-grey. It is perfect for a baby's room or anywhere in the house you'd like to bring tranquility and stillness. I like the white and softer muted colors for nurseries and kid’s rooms. Feng Shui, “the ancient art of placement”, calls for using it in living rooms, bedrooms and the spiritual center of the house, the front left corner of your home. The one pictured above comes from my favorite crystal shop Kona Rock & Mineral on the Big where I used to live. I gave intuitive readings there and often recommended selenite to help with meditation and for clearing energy. I love a sweet selenite wand on my oracle card decks to keep them clean and clear in between readings.

Crystals need to be cleared from time to time, some more than others. Obsidian never has to be cleared. It automatically clears itself. Selenite, like kyanite and lepidolite cannot be put into water. Cleansing your crystals under moonlight can be a beautiful full or new moon ritual. Clear them every other month, or every season. The difference in how they feel will be amazing, very much like when you wash your favorite sweater or jeans. They feel brand new again.

I also recommend clearing and washing your daily jewelry and pieces you wear often. Psychometry, the ability to read inanimate objects works off this principal. Energy and vibration can be read off an object that belongs to someone, or a deceased loved one. A person’s energetic blueprint or vibration is carried in the crystals and objects that belong to them. 

I am often asked if crystals really do anything for us. I have done performances and workshops in crystal shops and it can be really hard to stay grounded. A lot of them together make a room hum and vibrate. How do you feel when you are out in nature? How does sitting by a beautiful stream filled with smooth pebbles and stones sound? Heavenly right? We are connected to nature and all of its elements. Its elements exist inside of us. The air is our breath. Our blood is water. Fire is the heat inside us needed for digestion and assimilation. Spirit is space in and around us. The Earth element is our bones and muscles. Crystals are of the earth.

We are taken away by the ocean's waves because we are 70% water. Looking up into the night sky's stars take us to dreamy otherworldly places, yet we are made of those same stars. Lush green forests connect us to the earth element. So how can we not be touched by crystals? Make Selenite your go-to crystal for rooms that need softening and quiet. Have one in your car, or at your work desk. I have a big chunk of rose quartz, “the love crystal” in my car, another soft and blissful stone. Combine these together for full-on peace, love and serenity.

There is a deep pulling within between our responsibilities to others and to ourselves. Wednesday night's late full moon brings to light where we can more powerfully give to ourselves, without giving ourselves away. 

We know that our happiness and well-being ultimately begins with our true wants and desires. This in of itself is an awakening and can feel like a huge responsibility, especially if it is new for you. Pluto is in alignment with the Moon touching our deep needs for emotional security and how we will maturely meet them.


☽Time & Tide
Sister Moon should not be ignored. If you are not a ritual kind of person, it is enough and super-potent to simply sit underneath it. It's energy lasts for 3 days before and after. Time for a full moon ritual with water. Take a sea salt bath or use a sea salt scrub. Sit by the water. Get in it if you can. 

This moon phase marks the point where things are coming to a head to be acknowledged and recognized as working for you, or not working for you, and how to find the still point of personal power and balance. Embrace your feelings at this time. Don't ignore them, or put pretty words on top of them. The mermaids are calling to the depths of our emotions. Feelings, shown by the waves, are coming to the surface for acknowledgement causing transformation.
You will survive the waves my dear and triumphantly ride them.


☽Homeland
Hawaiian legend says turtle or honu, as they call it is the symbol that you will always find your way home. Getting to the heart of the matter brings you back to yourself. Feelings of sadness, fear and disappointment are there swimming underneath, they are yours to embrace and honor. If they aren't looked at, we might make inauthentic choices, as they continue to swim underneath filtering our perceptions. This moon is recommending to at least look and not ignore. You will arrive where you need to be. Trust your heart.


☽Soul Cage
What part of you is not free? This full moon is about power and balancing our needs with the needs of others, as well as professionally. Have you gotten caught up in achieving goals but find yourself unfulfilled? Acknowledge what you have accomplished and be grateful. Share your triumphs by spending time with family and friends.

If you are not happy, see where you can make choices to selfishly bring yourself joy. I have a friend who wants to see family but does not want to rock the boat and upset her husband by spending money for a visit. Everyone lives in another state and she really wants to spend time with them. Should she risk his reaction? Should she let him know it would be a gift to her for him to support her wish? 

Where have you denied yourself? Are you blaming someone? 

What wishes and desires seem impossible to fulfill? Know that a way can be created by simply acknowledging these submerged wants.

Emotions are surfacing. Old dirty not-so-pretty behaviors are coming out to play says Scorpio. Things you thought you'd never say again come right out of your mouth. And part of you doesn't care cause you are sick and tired of playing nice. This Full Moon is all about Restoration + Regeneration = Power. It hits in grounded, earthy and sensuous Taurus causing us to look at what our key values are. The truth of what we really need and want deep down. What makes us secure? What gives us comfort. Time to get out of our own way. 


☽Adventure
Our lovely diva rides a butterfly. Butterflies mean transformation and metamorphosis in so many cultures. You've been riding the flow of your dreams and ideas. You are more aware of what you bring to the table, and what you are willing to offer. You've gotten rid of so much stuff, literally and figuratively. You cleaned some of your closets if not all of them. You've taken classes and read books. You are expanding. 

Scorpio ruled by Pluto, the planet of upheaval and renewal brings out and up crap we thought we were done with and that we are not proud of, so it can be burned away. The butterfly she carries is all her stuff she brings to the fire to be burned, cleaned, purified and transformed. She's over it!

Your inner-game and what really makes you happy, satisfied and fulfilled quickly makes it way to the top of your list. This also signifies the traits you do not like in others reflected back at you. 

There is magic, mystery and meaning to moon phases. Scorpio deepens this cycle. It's time to make a list of what you will release and allow Sister-Mother Moon to do her magic. Sitting under the moon exalting at the wonder of it is a primal and innate practice set deep in our collective consciousness. It is not dark magic to love the moon. It's already in you.

Crystal Alchemy ~ Smoky Quartz: How To Clear Negative Energy

This beauty just happens to be mine. I've been on the hunt for a crystal to clean and clear my energy, and the vibe in my home. March 20th's Solar Eclipse-New Moon-Super Moon and Spring Equinox opened a doorway to super-consciousness and transformation. I want my home to feel good to me. I need that support in my environment. I am riding the new wave along with you. 

If you feel that things have been harder for you since March 20th, I recommend doing a ceremony on the next full or new moon phase. It's also time to do an energetic cleansing of your thoughts and beliefs. It's time to give it up and open your heart to the new. More on this in my next moon phase oracle card reading. For now let's focus on our alchemical star, Smoky Quartz the ultimate cleanser of all-things energetic.

Smoky Quartz is a form of quartz. It's usually clear with darker, smokier hues of brown in it. It can also be mostly brown, ranging to almost chocolate colored. Scotland claimed it as there national gem, calling it Cairngorn, from the Cairngorn mountains. They consider it sacred, it's history dating back to the time of Druids, an intellectual class of theologians, astrologers, diviners, scientists, philosophers and astronomers. This baby is from my favorite crystal shop on the Big Island.

In Feng Shui smoky quartz is put at the front door to keep bad energy out. It is a super-protective stone for any area of the house where you feel you need it. It increases your intuition because it helps to clear accumulations of energy in your aura, your energetic body and your thoughts. 

Crystals can be programmed with an intention. This gem is awesome for lightening your thoughts and bringing you back into your body. It's a great healer for worry and transient feelings of depression. Not the kind you see a medical professional for, but you can use it along with traditional therapy. 

Smoky Quartz is awesome to keep by your cell phone or computer. Many healers use it to help diffuse and clear the effects of chemo and radiation. Smoky is strong, but I find it's one you may be able to keep by your bedside. You can ask for your new best friend from the elemental kingdom to do it's work, but be soft and supportive enough to be with you while you sleep peacefully.

It's a grounding stone. What does that mean? Smoky Quartz brings focus. If you are all up in your head and stressed out, it's a good earthly elixir for a worried mind and for calming down. It brings you back down to Earth. Remember worry is reversed prayer.



How to Use Smoky Quartz to Ground & Clear Your Energy 
To ground and clear your energy, hold a smoky quartz in your hands while standing. Try to be barefoot. Or sit in chair or on the floor, and hold it. You can close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Say a prayer to God, your angels and your spiritual team to help you clear and release any negative energy. Relax. Let go of any concerns, worries or cares.


With each deep breath, use the exhale to push it out, the inhale to receive good energy. Good energy = love, trust, happiness, prosperity, health...the good stuff. Don't fret over what the energy part means. 

Touch your chest and your legs with your hands. Feel totally supported by the surface beneath you. Sink into your chair or the floor if you are laying down. Feel your feet and your body connected to the Earth...straight down to the it's core. Let gravity pull you. 

You might like to picture and feel yourself laying on the beach, feeling the warm sand underneath you, or the ground of a beautiful, lush forest.
